Obituary for Robert J Egan
Sayreville
Robert J Egan age 80 of Sayreville passed away Tuesday March 11th 2014 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Born in South Amboy he has resided in Sayreville for most of his life. Robert was a U.S. Navy veteran, a proud member of Sayreville American Legion post 211. Before his retirement in 1992 he was employed as a heavy equipment mechanic for Hercules Inc in Parlin and a member of local 271 atomic chemical workers union.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years the former Eleanore Dominik, his son and daughter-in-law Robert and Barbara Egan of Sayreville, his Grandchildren Christopher Egan of Sayreville and Matthew Egan of Chicago and his sisters Barbara Ann Modzelewski and Madonna Martin.
Funeral services will be held Saturday 8:30am from the Maliszewski Memorial Home 121 Main Street Sayreville followed by a 9am mass at Our Lady of Victories R. C. Church in Sayreville with a private cremation to follow.
