Obituary for Harold Eppinger Jr.

Sayreville
Harold Eppinger Jr., age 79, of Sayreville passed away Friday, February 27, 2015 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in South River he was a life long Borough of Sayreville resident. Before his retirement 22 years ago he was employed for 10 years as an electrical Supervisor for CasChem in Bayone, N.J. and prior to that for National Lead Industries in Sayreville. Mr. Eppinger was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and an exempt member of Sayreville Engine Company #1.

He is predeceased by his wife Marianne Lehman Eppinger in 2006, his son Timothy Eppinger in 2013 and his sister Mary Lou Campbell in 2011. Surviving are his son Scott Eppinger in the Philippines, his granddaughter Tara Marie Eppinger of Sayreville, his grandson Trevor John Eppinger of Philippines, his brothers William, Peter and Daniel Eppinger and his sister Sheila Eppinger.

Funeral services will be held Monday 8pm at the Maliszewski Memorial Home 121 Main Street Sayreville with private cremation with burial at N.J. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown to follow on Friday.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Monday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. Members of Sayreville Engine Company #1 and Exempt Firemen’s Association will hold service Monday 7:30pm at the funeral home.
