Emmanuel Zammit, age 67 passed away October 10, 2015 at his home in Sayreville NJ. Born in Cospicua, Malta he had resided in Brooklyn NY and Sayreville NJ for most of his life. Emmanuel retired last year from Seabreeze dry cleaners. Prior to that he was employed by Jeeves of London in NY NY as a spotter. He was sought after by many Hotels, Broadway Shows & competitors. He was so recognized in his field that the Today Show had him on to demonstrate his knowledge & talent. He will fondly be remembered for his skill in making leather goods such as wallets, bags, hats, jackets and belts. Emmanuel also enjoyed and was quite good at playing billiards.

He is predeceased by his parents Salvatore and Concetta Zammit, his son Emmanuel Zammit Jr, his brothers Francis Zammit , Gerard Zammit and his sister Lucy Zammit. Surviving are his daughters Lisa McQueary and Toni Marie Zammit, his two grandchildren Aidan McQueary and Emmanuela Zammit, his siblings and their spouses Joseph(Joey) and Franca Zammit, Emmanuela (Lilly) Zammit, Mary (Connie) Murphy, Francis (Frankie) and Lillian Zammit, Margaret Gambarrotti, Charlie Zammit, Bernard (Benny)and Beata Zammit, Loraine and Michael Chevere, Dolores(Doris) Zammit and numerous nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday 9am at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin followed by a 9:30am funeral mass at Saint Bernadette’s R.C. Church. An entombment will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Parlin.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made in Emmanuel’s name to the charity of your choice.
