Obituary for Adele Vaglia
Portland, ME
Adele Vaglia, age 94 of Portland, Maine, passed away at her residence at Seventy-Five State Street in Portland on Tuesday, October 20, 2015. Born in the Bronx NY, she had lived in the Parlin section of Sayreville for 57 years before moving to Maine, 4 years ago. Before her retirement, Mrs. Vaglia worked for Middlesex General Hospital (now the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital) in New Brunswick, NJ as an ICU Nurse for many years. Adele possessed a strong character, a quick wit, and a caring heart. She was a devoted and loving mother and wife, and a loyal friend.
She is predeceased by her husband Peter in 1987 and her daughter Patricia in 2001.
Surviving is her son Richard of Maine.
Funeral services will be Saturday 8:30am from the Maliszewski Memorial Home 121 Main Street in Sayreville with a 9am Mass to follow at Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville. Burial will take place at New Calvary Cemetery in Parlin.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm.
