Ronald J. Eden, age 77, of Sayreville, passed away peacefully on Thursday March 3, 2016, at Center For Hope Hospice, in Scotch Plains, with his family at his side. Born in South Amboy, he was a lifelong Borough of Sayreville resident. Ron was employed as the cemetery director of Saint Stanislaus Kostka R.C. Church Cemetery in Sayreville for the past 12 years and prior to that was employed as a laborer with Laborers Internationals Local 77. Ronald was very involved in his church and devoted to his religion being a communicant of Saint Stanislaus Kostka R. C. Church in Sayreville, where he was a Eucharistic Minister, Lector and Sacristan for their Daily Mass. He was a member and past president of the Saint Stanislaus Kostka Holy Name Society, past treasurer and member of the Middlesex County Federation of Holy Name Societies, Third Order of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Sayreville Knights of Columbus Council 2016.

He is predeceased by his wife Joan D. Zaremski Eden in 2009 and his parents Woodrow & Margaret Coughlin Eden. Surviving are his daughter Sandra Helfrich of Sayreville, his grandson George Helfrich of Sayreville, his step mother Frances Eden of Spotswood, his siblings and their spouses Kathy & Jack Gecek of Hackettstown, James & Michele Eden of Spotswood, Donna & Mike Sorrentino of Deal, and Douglas & Bonnie Eden of Hillsborough and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10am from the Maliszewski Memorial Home 121 Main Street Sayreville followed by a 10:30am mass at Saint Stanislaus Kostka R. C. Church in Sayreville with burial to follow at Saint Stanislaus Cemetery, Sayreville.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Tuesday from 4pm to 8pm. The following groups will hold services Tuesday at the funeral home: St Stanislaus Kostka Holy Name Society 7pm, Sayreville K of C Council 2061 7:30pm.
