Bertha A. “Babe” Wilusz, age 87 of South Amboy, passed away Saturday November 5, 2016 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Elizabeth, she had resided in South Amboy for more than 50 years. Before her retirement in 1992, Bertha worked as an accountant for Boyson Conveyor Systems in East Brunswick for many years. Bertha loved office work and her organizational skills were second to none. She enjoyed crossword/jigsaw puzzles daily and never met one that she couldn’t solve. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband John C. Wilusz in 1998; her parents John & Catherine Polewczak; & her siblings Stanley Polewczak, Louis Polewczak, Antoinette Zebro, Rose Misiur, Mary Zrebiec, Helen Nester, and Anne Wysocki. Surviving are her children and their spouses John & Doray of Bayville, Daniel & Lisa of VA, Jeffrey & Carol of CO, and William & Alyse of Holmdel; her 8 loving grandchildren Michele & Johnny, Tyler & Jocelyn, and Jeremy, Rebecca, Evan & Gwen; and her 3 great-grandchildren Kali, Eva & Ben.

Funeral services will be held Monday 8:30am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin followed by a 9:00am mass at Sacred Heart RC Church with burial to follow at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery.
