Louis J. Ioffredo age 92 of the Parlin section of Sayreville passed away Wednesday November 23, 2016 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Jersey City he resided in Parlin since 1961. Before his retirement in 1986 he was employed for Western Electric for 40 years retiring as a supervisor from their Kearny facility. Louis proudly served his country during World War II in the Submarine Service, was a member of Sayreville VFW post 4699 and Sayreville Knights of Columbus Council 2061. Louis was a communicant of Saint Mary’s R. C. Church in South Amboy. He was a selfless beacon of generosity, beloved by everyone he met. A true Renaissance man, he was a dancer, a gardner, a handyman , a ravioli maker and most importantly, he loved spending time with his family.

He is predeceased by his wife of 62 years Yolanda Fazioli Ioffredo in 2009, his siblings Larry, Ralph, Thomas Ioffredo, Lucy Mastorila, Assunta Galaro , Angie Iorio and his twin sister Filomena “Fay” Elitech.

Surviving are his daughter Patricia Buchanan and her husband James, his grandchildren and their spouses Laura & Hugh Toal, Jenni & Robert Mazetta, Scot Buchanan and Cindy & Steve Thorn, his great grandchildren Kaylin, Cole, Aidan, Kayla and Hudson Louis, his sister Rose Kieseling and her husband Harry and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday 9am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin followed by a 9:30am mass at Saint Mary R.C. Church in South Amboy with burial to take place Wednesday November 30, 2016 at 12:30pm at Brigadier General William C. Doyle N.J. Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown, N.J.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Sunday from 2pm to 5pm. In lieu of flowers donations in Louis’ name can be made to Saint Jude Children Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105.
