Evangelos Avramidis, age 72, of Monroe Township passed away Friday December 9, 2016 at St. Peter’s Hospital in New Brunswick surrounded by his loving family. Evangelos was born and raised in Athens, Greece after which he immigrated to the United States in Highland Park and more recently Monroe Township. He studied Aviation Technology in Greece and proudly served in the Helenic Air Force. Before his retirement, Mr. Avramidis was employed by FMC in Plainsboro as the lead maintenance technician. Evangelos was an avid coin collector and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife Renata (Smaha), his parents Vasilios & Angeliki, and his brother Michael. Surviving are his son, Vasilios and wife Jana of Pittstown, his daughter Angie of Monroe Township, and his daughter & son-in-law Rosie and Alan Schaible of East Brunswick; and his loving grandson Christopher Henriquez of East Brunswick.

Funeral services will be held Monday 9am at the Maliszewski Memorial Home, 121 Main Street, Sayreville, with burial to follow at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Old Bridge.
