Rosemary (Kimmel) Hausmann age 53 of the Morgan section of Sayreville passed away peacefully on Friday December 16, 2016, at Saint Peters University Hospital, New Brunswick with her loving and devoted family at her side. Born in New Brunswick she has resided in Sayreville all of her life. Before her retirement in 2007 she was employed as a parole officer for 20 years for the New Jersey State Parole Board, and was a member of State PBA Local 326. Rosemary proudly served her country in the United States Army was a communicant of Saint Mary R. C. Church in South Amboy where she served as Eucharist Minister. She was a grass root advocate for Fight Colorectal Cancer where she and her husband received on Advocate of the Year Award for their commitment, leadership and fundraising via their annual “Friends of Rose” softball and horseshoe tournaments. Come health or high water, she was always there to unite with friends and encourage other survivors and families to fight. Eric was with her every step of the way. Rose fought through pain and fatigue to be with us. At every turn, she denied cancer the opportunity to take her joy, her life and her community away from her.

Rosemary was predeceased by her son, Justin L. Jenkins-Hausmann and her parents Robert and Audrey Kimmel. Surviving are her husband of 26 years Eric S. Hausmann, her children Jamie Jenkins, Ashley Hausmann and Taylor Hausmann, her grandson Mason Hasa and her siblings Marie Weinman, Robert J. Kimmel, John “Jack” Kimmel, Paul T. Kimmel, Virginia Kimmel, Margaret Miller, James Kimmel, Kenneth Kimmel, Daniel Kimmel and Melissa Herman and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 8:30am from the funeral home followed by a 9:30am mass at Saint Mary’s R. C. Church in South Amboy with burial to follow at New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin.
