Condolences

Condolence From: Debra F. Campbell
Condolence: As a friend and former colleague I offer my deepest sympathy to Wayne's family. Wayne was a true asset to his profession with so much knowledge and always willingly shared it with those needing guidance. May the Lord give you comfort and reassurance that he rests with God.

Wayne was a dear friend and colleague at the US FDL and I for one will miss him dearly. May God comfort you and support you during this sad time and hold you close to ease your pain. Condolence: We are heartbroken at the loss of our friend. Wayne was always a thoughtful, kind and dedicated person. He always wanted to know how our family were doing.

Wayne had a way of providing comic relief with his perspective on life, work, family and friends. Here are some things he came to realize:

1. Family and friends are most important in our lives. He talked about the support he received during his illness- cleaning of his house, daily calls, delivery of books, taking him to a baseball game, delivery of food and the visits he received. He did indeed appreciate these acts of love and cherished the friends and family that brought him comfort.

2. Love your life, if you can't, change it so you can. Wayne realized that to love life you need to be willing to change. He realized his journey was not complete, but merely a work in progress.

He made us laugh, not the quiet, brief chuckle but rather, the deep belly, I can't stop laughing type. He always made your stress level go down and helped place your concerns in a more realistic perspective. That's what you get from a great friend!

We know he's at peace. We'll miss him dearly. He'll always be in our thoughts and prayers. Our best to all his family and friends.

Condolence From: Caitlyn M
Condolence: Deepest sympathy to the Laptosh Family and friends.

Wayne will be deeply missed. I remember Wayne the best during happy times like when GD, Wayne and I would sing Rolling Stones songs together and buying baseball bats with our names on them with Wayne at the Baseball Hall of Fame.

A special time I shared with Wayne was at the Washington Nationals' game on September 11, 2016. Wayne was beaming as we watched the Nationals win and enjoyed Ben's Chili Bowl & Cracker Jacks!

Wayne-I wish you eternal peace & love.

Your friend, Caitlyn

Condolence: I was deeply saddened to learn of Wayne's passing. I enjoyed working with him for several years at the forensic laboratory. Wayne took great pride in his work and all of us admired and depended on his expertise. He was a valued member of the laboratory team, and he will be missed by his colleagues, friends and family.

Condolence: I am glad that I was able to see my friend and colleague in the hospital shortly before he died. I did not know it at the time but it gave me the opportunity to say goodbye to him. I will be representing his work circle of friends at the funeral service on Tuesday and am honored that I will be able to offer a few words of tribute and remembrances of happier times. Rest in peace, Wayne. I have posted a photo of you taken quite a few years ago on this site for anyone who cares to view it.

Condolence: Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Wayne. Wayne was a colleague of mine and was always willing to pass on his expertise and knowledge in the field of question documents to me and other Examiner's. I was happy I was able to see him one last time in the hospital. I believe he is at peace now and no longer suffering. He will be sorely missed. God bless. Karen and Rick
