Obituary for William Woods
Sayreville
William Woods, age 79 of Sayreville, passed away Saturday December 31, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Jersey City, he had lived in Sayreville for many years. Before his retirement 15 years ago, William worked as a forklift operator for Tropicana Drink Inc. in Jersey City. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville.
He is predeceased by his parents William and Anna, and his brother George.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, the former Martha Zubel, his children Cathy and her husband Cliff Grossi, William and his wife Robin, Donna Steuber, his grandchildren William, Robert and his wife Stephanie, Victoria, Michael Grossi, Nicole Grossi, his siblings Anna Velardi, James, Maria Johnson and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday 9am from the Maliszewski Memorial Home 121 Main Street with a 9:30am mass to follow at Our Lady of Victories RC Church on Main St in Sayreville. In lieu of flower donations may be made in Williams name to the American Cancer Society. https://donate3.cancer.org/?campaign=CY16MemPage
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 5pm to 9pm.
