Obituary for John Thomas "Jack " Joule

Sayreville
John Thomas “Jack” Joule, age 75, of the Parlin section of Sayreville peacefully passed away at his home on Saturday, February 25, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Jack has resided in Parlin for the past 18 years. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Joule worked as a Central Office Technician with Verizon in Brooklyn for 32 years. Jack was a man of many interests including his love of building model trains and train boards, his collection of records and immense knowledge of music, and his forged relationship with the birds and squirrels in his yard. He was also an avid Green Bay Packers and Brooklyn Dodgers fan as well as an a capella singer who performed with Dino & the Heartspinners for many years.

He is predeceased by his parents john Frederick & Rose (McMahon) Joule. Surviving is his beloved wife of 50 years, Dorothy (Chapman) Joule of Parlin; his loving children and their spouses Erik & Roseann of Brooklyn and Krista & Erik Bergstol of Brooklyn; his siblings Beatrice Nadle of NC, Barbara Avone of Brooklyn, & Donald of NV; and his 4 beautiful grandchildren Heather, Kelly, Jessica, & Erik.

A memorial service will take place on Thursday from 4pm to 8 pm at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with funeral services at 7pm.
