Obituary for Loretto Powers (Slavin)
Loretto M. Slavin Powers, age 88 of Parlin, passed away peacefully Sunday March 26, 2017 at Center for Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains. Born in Manhattan, NY, she had resided in Parlin for many years. Before her retirement, Loretto worked as an accounts payable clerk for Mayfair Supermarkets in Elizabeth for many years.
She is predeceased by her husband Gerard, and her sisters Florence Meara, and Jeanne Cluzel.
Surviving are her children Kathleen Evers and her husband Michael, Nancy Clifton and her husband Stuart, her grandchildren Christopher Clifton and his wife Jennifer, Stacy Fletcher and her husband Edward, Ellen Evers, her great-grandchildren Madison, Hailey, Logan, Hayden and Zoey, her brother John T. Slavin and her sister Kathleen Colville.
Funeral arrangements were private and entrusted to the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin, NJ 08859.
