Sayreville
Joan Vargo, age 71 of Sayreville passed away Thursday April 20, 2017 at her home with her loving family by her side. Born in South Amboy she had resided in New Jersey for all her life. Before her retirement she was employed as a Legal Aid for Johnson & Johnson, New Brunswick. Joan loved volunteering her time to help her family and community by coaching softball, leading a brownie troop and volunteering at the concession stand for the Sayreville Leprechauns where many people had the privilege of having her homemade meatballs and Sausage.

She is predeceased by her husband Ronald, her parents Edward and Vera Twardos, her sister Peggy and brother Jack. Surviving are her children and their spouses, Renee and Mike Vona and Ronald and Miriam Vargo, her grandchildren, Robert, Olivia, and Ava, her step grandchildren, Justa and Richard, her step great grandchild Devin and many loving siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday 11am at Christ Episcopal Church, South Amboy.
