Obituary for Thomas F. Ryan
Thomas F. Ryan, age 58 of Sayreville passed away Saturday, May 27th 2017 at NYU Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY after injuries sustained from falling off the Verrazano Bridge while working. Born in Brooklyn, NY he had resided in Sayreville for the past 21 years. He was a proud member and Shop Steward for the Ironworkers Union Local #361 out of Queens, NY for the past 33 years. Thomas was a member of the Minerva Snowmobile Club in upstate NY and he enjoyed outdoor activities like fishing and hunting.
He is predeceased by his parents Daniel and Rita. Surviving are his wife of 29 years, the former Diane Golden, his children Michael Enriquez of PA, Patrice Enriquez of Sayreville and Thomas Ryan, Jr. of Sayreville, his grandsons Kyle, Cameron and Shane Enriquez and Tee Whited, his siblings and their spouses Daniel and Amy Ryan of Hackensack, Susan McKeown of Woodbridge and Kathy and Patrick Wilton of Staten Island, his nieces and nephews Kelley, Tara, Daniel, Patrick, Sean and Ashley, his aunts Claire Deerr and Phyllis Claussen of Queens, many cousins and his beloved dog and companion Riley.
Funeral services will be held 8:30am Friday from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with a 9:30am Mass at Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Staten Island, NY.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 6pm to 9pm and Thursday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.
