Dorothy (Stortz) Piatek, age 73, passed away peacefully at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, New Brunswick on Tuesday, July 25, 2017. Dorothy was born Newark, New Jersey on February 4, 1944 to William and Marie Stortz. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Anthony Piatek, her daughter Yvonne Levine and her grandson Ryan William Levine. She was a lifelong resident of Sayreville and was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories RC Church.
Dorothy is survived by her children and their spouses, Mark and Kristi Piatek, Jacqueline and Nick Mosso, and Stephanie and Robert Beers, her grandchildren, Christopher, Julia, Alekander, Evan, Emma, Dominic, Vincent, Lauren, Zachary, Kyle and Bridget, her son in-law Lewis Levine and many loving friends. Dorothy loved nothing more than spending time with her beloved grand children.
Funeral services will be Saturday 8:30am from the Maliszewski Memorial Home, 121 Main Street, Sayreville with a 9am Mass at Our Lady of Victories RC Church. Burial will follow at New Calvary Cemetery on Washington Road, Sayreville.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 2pm to 4pm & 7pm to 9pm.
