Michael Gecek, age 65, of Sayreville passed away peacefully at his home with his loving family at his side on Monday, September 18, 2017. Born in Sayreville, Michael was a lifelong resident of the borough. Before his retirement two years ago Michael was employed by MCUA.

Surviving are his wife of 42 years Doreen, his son Matthew Gecek, his daughter Jillian and her husband Lane Spotswood, his grandchildren, Michael Scott Burley Jr, Allison Paige Burley and Rose Antoinette Spotswood, his siblings, Carol Ann Gecek, John Gecek Jr, Michele Gecek, Ann Marie Kaser and many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday 8:30pm September 21, 2017 from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane Parlin, NJ. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Thursday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. Letters of condolence may be sent to the family at www.spezzifuneralhome.com
