South Amboy
Franklin “Gene” Eugene Dyer, age 74, of South Amboy passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at his home with his loving family by his side. Born in Enid, OK, he has lived in South Amboy for most of his adult life. Before his retirement, Mr. Dyer worked as a chemical engineer with Madison Industries in Old Bridge, where he helped invent a process which made makeup safer for use. He was also a proud veteran of the US Army having served in the Vietnam War.
Gene is predeceased by his parents Francis & Claudine Dyer, and his siblings Dean & Gloria.
Surviving are his 4 sons Keith, Eugene of Howell, Christopher of TN, and Richard of Howell; and his 6 loving grandchildren Michael, Nicholas, Rebecca, Amanda, Elizabeth, & Leann.
