Socrates “Duke” Kottaras, age 84, of Sayreville, passed away Sunday December 31, 2017 with his loving family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. Duke worked in the brokerage industry in NYC for over 40 years, retiring from Morgan Stanley as an assistant vice-president in 1998. He was also a proud U.S. veteran serving in the United States Army.

Duke is predeceased by his parents Demetrios and Anna, and his brother Bill. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years Stella, his loving children, Anna and James, as well as his dear sister Constance, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Duke will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10am at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, Perth Amboy. Calling hours at the Carmen F.
