Michael James McCurdy, age 67 of Sayreville passed away on January 16, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Orange he resided in Sayreville most of his life. Before Michael’s retirement he employed as a maintenance technician at Englert Inc. Michael was a proud submarine technician in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He received the Naval Commendation Medal for Heroism in 1970 from the Commander in Chief of the Pacific Fleight USS Daniel Webster. Michael was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, patriot and so much more. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is predeceased by his parents Morton and Grace McCurdy. Surviving is his beloved wife Margaret (Besso) McCurdy as well as his adored daughter and her husband Tracy & Douglas Van Brunt, his favorite grandchildren Douglas & Ciara Van Burnt and his siblings Ellen McCurdy, Maureen McCurdy, Matthew McCurdy, Thomas McCurdy, Caroline McCurdy and Daniel McCurdy as well as many nieces and nephews.
