Obituary for Rose Marie Pedro

Rose Marie Pedro
Rose Marie Pedro (Pinheiro), loving mother and cherished grandmother, 73, peacefully passed away in her home on Sunday, April 8th. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, she moved to Sayreville 50 years ago, where she raised her family and stayed until her passing. Surviving Rose Marie are her two children: Daughter Mariana Medlin and her family, husband Jay, and daughter Cristina; and her son, Anthony and his wife Beverly, and their daughter Maria.

Rose Marie was an avid traveler; taking trips all across the country and even across the world. She kept mementos of all her travels and would bring back gifts from her journeys to her granddaughters. Rose Marie loved the beach, especially Florida, where she spent plenty of time after her retirement. She graduated from Wagner College with her Masters in Nursing. She was a nurse for many years before she switched to teach nursing, passing on her breadth of knowledge to future nurses. Rose Marie was very active in her church and community. You could find her at an aerobics class at the senior center or front and center at a church trip. She will be missed dearly by her entire family, which spanned from New Jersey to Rhode Island, even to Portugal, all of her many close friends, and as well as her beloved cat, Tiny Princess. Services for Rose Marie will take place at Maliszewski Memorial Home, 121 Main St., Sayreville, NJ on Sunday, April 15th, from 1-4pm. A funeral mass is being offered at Our Lady of Victories, Sayreville, at 9:30 am on Monday, April 16th. Letters of condolence, direction and completed funeral arrangements can be found at maliszewskimemorialhome.com
