Obituary for Donald Pashley

Donald Robert Pashley 81, of Parlin passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 with his loving family at his side. Born and raised in Brooklyn NY, Donald was a resident of Parlin for the last 50 years. He was employed by the NYC Department of Social Services for 38 years. Upon his retirement in 2004, he continued employment with The New York Foundling in Staten Island in social services for another 8 years. A graduate of The Brooklyn College of Pharmacy in 1962, he was employed in the pharmaceutical industry part time for 25 years. He moonlighted as a security guard for the Raritan Bay Medical Center in excess of 10 years on weekends. He served honorably in the United States Army from 1953-1957.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Kathleen, formerly of Jersey City, daughter Kathleen and her husband Eric Lord of Woodbridge VA, eldest son John Pashley of Old Bridge, son Allen and Dorothy Pashley of Sayreville, and his 6 loving grandchildren.
He will be fondly remembered for his frequent trips to local dog parks with his best friend and beloved Australian cattle dog, Skippy. Funeral services will be held Monday 9:15 at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with a 10am Funeral Mass being offered at St. Bernadettes R.C. Church, Parlin. Burial to follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Sayreville. Calling Hours at the funeral home will be held Sunday from 2pm to 6pm
