Obituary for Carl "Oscar" Woronowicz

Carl “Oscar” Woronowicz, age 92, of South River passed away peacefully on Sunday August 5, 2018 at St. Peters Hospital with his loving and devoted family by his side. Carl lived in Sayreville his entire married life until he and his beautiful wife of 69yrs were displaced during Super Storm Sandy. Carl was an amazing man who loved fishing, hunting, mushroom picking, crabbing, bingo, playing cards with his friends and building large scale motorized model airplanes. He was the Vice President and General Manager of J&A Woronowicz & Bros. He was the former VP of both the Polish National Home and the Antler Club, he held two patents as well as received endless awards for his community service, hiring high school students and teaching them the value of a job. Carl loved nothing more than to spend time with his adored grandsons. He was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Church

He is predeceased by his parents Walter & Helen Woronowicz as well as his siblings Jane Sudowski, Annette Knurowski, Benjamin Woronowicz, Joseph Warren, Stanley Bosko, George Woronowicz, John Woronowicz, Michael Warnowicz, Leonard Wornowicz and Thomas Woronowicz. Carl is survived by his beloved wife Natalie of 69 years as well as his son Gary Woronowicz and his daughter Diane & her husband Robert Lorzing and his grandsons Michael & Gregory Lorzing and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday 8:30am from the Maliszewski Memorial Home with a mass at St. Stanislaus Church at 9am in Sayreville with a burial to follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Calling hours will take place on Tuesday from 3pm to 7pm at the Maliszewski Memorial Home, 121 Main St, Sayreville.
