Condolence: Mr. & Mrs. Ramos, my name is Adam and I was stationed with your son in Germany in 2011. I cant tell you how much this news breaks my heart. I'm sorry this is so late but I'd like to share a story with you about him, it's one of the most fun memories I have from my 12 years in the army. It was winter time and our unit chaplain organized a weekend trip to a fancy ski resort in the Alps for our soldiers. Except there was only enough room on the buses for 50 or so soldiers and neither me or Ramos signed up in time. We both really wanted to go though. We didn't know each other well but we decided to rent a car together and drive the 7 hours to the resort ourselves, and I'm glad we did. The drive was awesome. There was Just gigantic snow covered mountains all around us on this tiny winding road with four foot snow banks on either side. and I remember about an hour into the trip we found this great radio station, every song they played was a good one. Adele had just come out with that song "someone like you" which is a pretty romantic song for two gung ho cav scouts to be listening to in a car lol. But when it came on we just kind of looked at each other, but neither one of us changed the station lol. We had a great time, we joked and talked the whole way up and then we got to drink and ski with our friends all weekend.I loved Germany and I still think of that drive and all of the scenery when I hear that song. I'm very sorry for your loss. Jonathan was a good person and a fantastic soldier. Please take care.
