Obituary for Patrick D. O'Kelly
Parlin
Patrick D. O’ Kelly, age 75, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge. Born in New York City, he has lived in Parlin for over 30 years. After graduating from high school, Patrick enlisted in the Army where he proudly served his country and was stationed in Germany. Mr. O’Kelly worked in production for the NY Daily News for many years and was a member of the local newspaper union. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Patrick is predeceased by his longtime companion Mary Ellen O’Callahan, his parents Bernard & Margaret O’Kelly, and his brother Thomas O’Kelly. Surviving are his brothers James O’Kelly of Sayreville and Bernard O’Kelly of NV, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30am at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ. Letters of condolence to the family, completed arrangements and directions may be found by visiting www.spezzifuneralhome.com.
