Obituary for Lillian Hoffman-Kuntne (Roselli)

Lillian Hoffman Kuntne (Roselli), age 88 passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 23, 2018 in Columbus, Ohio. She was born and raised in South River, New Jersey, and was the daughter of the late Charles and Lillian Roselli. Lillian is predeceased by her brothers Cosmo Rafano, and Frederick Roselli, and sister Laura “Margaret” Kalacki.
Lillian’s first passion was her family, followed by her love of nursing. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories RC Church, a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Our Lady of Victories Columbiettes and South River Seniors. Anyone who knew Lillian knew of her deep devotion to St. Jude and St. Theresa. Lillian touched everyone she met with a giving and open heart. She had a special story telling ability that made young and old smile and genuinely laugh out loud. Her beauty is unforgettable and we were all blessed to have her in our lives.
Lillian was blessed with the love of two families. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 30 years, Louis E. Hoffman, and resided in Sayreville while raising their family. She is survived by a son, Ret. Lt. Col. Louis E. Hoffman and wife Kathy of Tampa, Florida, granddaughters Kelly (Beth) Hoffman and Kristen (DJ) Maples, and great grandchildren Ryder, Reese, Addie and Winnie. She is also survived by daughter Alma “Ellie” Lesinski and husband Walter formerly of Sayreville, grandsons Lt. Col. Walter “Wally” (Mary) Lesinski and Scott (Julie) Lesinski, great grandchildren Sean, Colin, Keegan, Hunter, and Piper.
Lillian enjoyed another 20 years of marriage with her late husband, John Kuntne and his daughters, Nancy Montefusco and husband John and Karen Woodward and husband Mark, granddaughters Gina (Josh) Beldner, Kara (Dan) Neff and Annie, grandsons Nathaniel (Liz) and Alexander, great grandchildren Rosalie, Olive, Ishmael, Noah, Ezra and Molly.
She is also survived by a brother Robert Errico and sisters, Helen Infusino, Mary Fehrle, Kay Bongiovi and Sue Dill, sister-in-laws Mary Roselli and Rose Dentz along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Victories, Sayreville NJ on Friday October 19, 2018 at 11:00am followed by a burial at Washington Monumental Cemetery in South River, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Our Lady of Victories School in her memory.
