Obituary for Joseph M. "Cross" Krzyzkowski Sr.

Joseph (Cross) Krzyzkowski Sr., age 72, passed away Friday December 12, 2014 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. Born in South Amboy, he had lived in Parlin for the past 46 years. Before his retirement, Joe worked as a millwright for Gerdau Ameristeel in Perth Amboy for many years. Joe was very active in the NJ Senior Softball Association and could always be seen walking around town.
He is predeceased by his parents Walter and Loretta Krzyzkowski.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Ruth nee Zambrowski, his children Walter of Parlin, Joseph Jr. of South Amboy, Karen Cheek and her husband Matthew of Old Bridge and his beloved grandchildren Ronnie and Kindra McCoullough.
Funeral services will be Monday 9am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin, with a 9:30am funeral mass to follow at Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Parlin.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday from 2pm to 6pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Joe’s name be made to the charity of your choice.
