Maureen L. Johnson age 78 of Old Bridge passed away Friday January 16, 2015 at Centra State Medical Center, Freehold. Born in Brooklyn, New York she had resided in Sayreville before moving to Old Bridge 10 years ago. Before her retirement she was employed as a customer service representative for Gussco Manufacturing in Brooklyn for 15 years and had volunteered at Centra State Medical Center for 10 years.

She is predeceased by her husband George M. Johnson Sr. in 2012, also her brothers Kenneth and Jeremiah McGrath. Surviving are her children and their spouses Janet Tsakos of Brooklyn, N.Y., George M. Johnson Jr. of Chester, Maryland, Laurie & Frank Esposito of Parlin and Carol & Steve Callaghan of Franklin Park, her grandchildren Peter and his wife Veronica, Steven, Ally, Garrett, Kaitlyn, Heather, Austin and Victoria, and her siblings William McGrath of Freehold, Joan Kszystyniak of Hopkinton, MA., Philip McGrath of New Windsor, N.Y. and many beloved nieces, nephews and their families.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 10:15am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin followed by a 11am mass at Our Lady of Victories R. C. Church in Sayreville with private cremation to follow.
