Stanley J. “Buffer” Miara age 69 of Sayreville passed away Friday February 5, 2016 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in South Amboy he has resided in Sayreville all of his life. Before his retirement in 2013 he was employed as a warehouse operator for E. I. Du Pont Photo Products in Parlin where he worked for 32 years, and was a member of the Du Pont 10 and 25 year clubs. After his retirement he was employed by the Sayreville Police Department as a crossing guard. Stanley was a lifelong communicant of Saint Stanislaus Kostka R. C. Church in Sayreville where he was a member of the Holy Name Society and a proud member of the Saint Stanislaus Carnival Brew Crew.

He is predeceased by his parents William L. & Janina Dembinski Miara. Surviving are his wife of 43 years Carol Samuel Miara, his children Amy & Kenny Huff of Sayreville and Father James Miara Pastor of Saint Anthony R. C. Church Bronx, New York, his grandchildren Jenna & Brayden Huff and his brother William “Bill” Miara and his wife Marge of Sayreville and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 9:30am from the Maliszewski Memorial Home 121 Main Street Sayreville followed by a 10am mass at Saint Stanislaus Kostka R. C. Church in Sayreville with burial to follow at Saint Stanislaus Cemetery, Sayreville.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Monday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. Members of St Stanislaus Kostka Holy Name Society will hold services Monday 7pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations in Stanley’s name be made to Saint Stanislaus Kostka School Endowment Fund 225 Mac Arthur Avenue Sayreville, New Jersey 08872.
