South River
Robert C. Thorne, age 81 of South River, passed away Thursday April 28, 2016 in Old Bridge. Born in South River, he was a lifelong borough resident. Before his retirement, Robert worked as an Operating Engineer with Local 825.
He is predeceased by his wife Martha Kulberda Thorne and his son Robert Thomas.
Surviving are his daughter Donna Thorne and his grandson Robert John Lubowiecki.
A memorial service will be held Sunday from 2pm to 5pm at the Maliszewski Funeral Home 218 Whitehead Ave. in South River.
