Obituary for Matthew R. "Matt" Cheek
Old Bridge
Matthew R. Cheek age 48 of Old Bridge passed away Tuesday May 24, 2016 at his home with his loving and devoted family at his side. Born in Goldsboro, North Carolina he was raised in Maine moving to North Jersey and then to Old Bridge 16 years ago. Mr. Cheek was employed in sales service for AAmco Transmission for the past 10 years currently in Matawan.
He is predeceased by his father Robert Cheek. Surviving is his wife Karen Krzyzkowski Cheek, his children Ronnie McCoullough, Kindra McCoullough, Kaylyn Cheek and Zachary Cheek. His mother Darr Littlefield, and step father Raymond Fortin, his brother Jason Littlefield and his wife Kim, his mother in law Ruth Krzyzkowski, his brother-in-laws Walter Krzyzkowski and Joseph Krzyzkowski. Also surviving are his step mother Martie Cheek and her fiancée Carl Bayer, his stepbrothers Johnny Ziomek, Jimmy Ziomek, Tommy Ziomek and his faithful companion, his dog Emmett.
Funeral services will be held Friday 10:30am from the Maliszewski Memorial Home 121 Main Street Sayreville followed by a 11am mass at Saint Stanislaus R. C. Church in Sayreville with private cremation to follow.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Thursday from 4pm to 8pm. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations in Matthew’s name be made to Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
