Obituary for Kevin L Connors
Kevin L. Connors age 58 of Sayreville passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 13, 2016 at Saint Peters University Medical Center, New Brunswick with his loving and devoted family at his side. Born in New Brunswick he has resided in Sayreville all of his life. Kevin was a graduate of Sayreville War Memorial High School and a graduate of Rutgers University in Newark where he received his BA in Accounting. He was employed as a Police Lieutenant for the Borough of Sayreville Police Department where he served his community since 1987. He was a member and exempt fireman of Sayreville Engine Company #1, Sayreville P.B.A. 98 and Stalkers Rod and Gun Club. Kevin was also the owner of Connors Concrete in Sayreville and a communicant of Saint Stanislaus Kostka Church in Sayreville.
He is predeceased by his father Ronald Connors Sr. in 2000 and his brother Gregory Connors in 1981. Surviving are his children Tina Eckert and her husband Gregory of Naples Florida, Kevin L. Connors Jr and Donald Connors both of Sayreville and Dennis Connors of Woodbridge, his mother Ruth Connors of Sayreville, his brother Ronald Connors Jr. and his wife Barbara and his sister Cyndi Connors both of Sayreville and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday 10am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin followed by a 11am mass at Saint Stanislaus Kostka R. C. Church in Sayreville with burial to follow at Saint Stanislaus Cemetery, Sayreville.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday from 2pm to 6pm. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations in Kevin’s name be made to Sayreville Engine Company #1 PO Box 141 Sayreville or Sayreville PBA Local 98 PO Box 34 Sayreville, N.J. 08872. Letters of condolence, completed arrangements and directions can be found at www.spezzifuneralhome.com.
