Darlene A. Ward, age 61, of the Morgan section of Sayreville, passed Sunday, peacefully at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, with her loving family at her side. Born in South Amboy she has resided in Sayreville all of her life. Darlene was employed as an Operating Room Nurse, at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy, where she worked for 40 years. She was a graduate of Charles E. Gregory School of Nursing in Perth Amboy where she received her LPN. Darlene was a communicant of Sacred Heart R. C. Church in South Amboy.

She is predeceased by her parents Edward & Jean Dzienciol Marcinczyk. Surviving are her daughters Shelley, Sheila and Sheryl Ward all of Morgan, her brothers and their wives Bruce & Laurie Marcinczyk of Morgan and Barry & Susan Marcinczyk of Middlesex, her nieces Kristie and Jeanna, her nephew Tommy Marcinczyk and her godson Jayden Jones.

Funeral services will be held Thursday 8:30am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin followed by a 9am mass at Sacred Heart R. C. Church in South Amboy with private cremation to follow with burial of her cremated remains at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Parlin.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Wednesday from 6pm to 9pm.
