Childhood memories of Mrs. Neigel

Mrs. Neigel was a truly wonderful person.

Her son Dave is married to my mother’s sister, Bridget. When I was growing up, I would often see Mrs. Neigel at my Uncle Dave and Aunt Bridget’s house during the holiday season or other family gatherings, and she was always so kind, with a warm and generous heart.

I have many childhood memories of how Mrs. Neigel always remembered my birthday with a toy or other gift. I’ll never forget one particular year -- I believe I was 12 years old -- and how happy I was when she gave me a sports card album full of football cards.

Even into my adulthood, she continued to remember me every year with a thoughtful birthday card, right up until my most recent birthday, this March. I always looked forward to receiving them from her.

She was very special to me and I will certainly miss her.

I offer my condolences to my Uncle Dave, his brother Chris, his sisters Cathy and Madeline, and all Mrs. Neigel’s grandchildren.

Rest in peace Mrs. Neigel.
